JAMB 2026 Mop-Up Exam Is 8 Days Away - Notification Slip Printing Starts Tomorrow, June 6

This is your urgent reminder. The 2026 JAMB UTME mop-up examination holds in 8 days - on Saturday, June 13, 2026. And notification slip printing opens tomorrow - Saturday, June 6, 2026.

We first covered the confirmed date announcement in our earlier post on this blog. Today - with one week left and slip printing beginning tomorrow - this follow-up gives every affected candidate a clear, urgent action checklist to complete between now and June 13.

JAMB has been emphatic: this is the final phase of the 2026 UTME exercise. There will be no further opportunity for any candidate to sit the 2026 UTME after this mop-up exercise. If you are affected and you miss June 13, you will need to wait until the 2027 UTME cycle. That is an entire year. Do not let administrative delays or poor preparation cost you that year.

The Two Most Important Dates - Right Now

• Tomorrow - Saturday, June 6, 2026: Examination Notification Slip printing opens. Print immediately from efacility.jamb.gov.ng. Do not wait until next week.
• Saturday, June 13, 2026: The mop-up examination holds. This is fixed, confirmed, and final.

Who Is Eligible for the June 13 Mop-Up

JAMB has confirmed three categories of candidates listed for the mop-up. You must be in at least one of these categories to sit:

• Candidates affected by technical failures at CBT centres during the main examination (April 23 to April 29, 2026). If your session was disrupted by a system crash, network failure, or power outage at your centre, you have been listed automatically.
• Candidates whose results were withdrawn over examination infractions. If you received the official JAMB message stating your result has been withdrawn and you will be rescheduled - June 13 is your date.
• Candidates who could not be biometrically verified on their original examination day. If your fingerprint or photograph verification failed at the centre through no fault of yours, you are on the mop-up list.

All affected candidates have already been listed in JAMB's system automatically. You do not need to apply, register afresh, or pay any fee to participate in the mop-up. Eligibility was determined by your centre's records and JAMB's investigation findings.

Your Urgent Checklist - Complete All of These Before June 13

Action 1 - Print Your Notification Slip Tomorrow (June 6)

This is your most urgent action. Starting tomorrow, visit efacility.jamb.gov.ng and log in using your registered email address and JAMB password. Your notification slip for the mop-up examination will be available for printing. The slip contains your examination centre address, your session time, and your seat number for June 13. Without this slip, you cannot enter the examination hall.

Do not wait until June 12 to print. Here is why: the portal will experience extremely high traffic immediately after it opens tomorrow. Candidates who print early avoid the rush, system slowdowns, and the risk of the portal becoming temporarily inaccessible close to the examination date. Print tomorrow. Print two copies. Keep one safe at home.

If you are printing on a phone, use Google Chrome and switch to Desktop Site mode by tapping the three dots in the top right corner of your browser. Without Desktop Site mode, you may only see a welcome screen with no printable content.

Action 2 - Confirm Your Centre Location Immediately After Printing

Your mop-up examination centre may be different from the centre where you were originally assigned or where you sat during the main examination period. Read the centre name and address on your notification slip carefully. Do not assume it is the same location you are familiar with.

Once you know your centre, look it up on Google Maps immediately. Calculate how long it takes to travel from your current location to the centre. Plan your transportation. A late check can create serious problems, especially for candidates posted to centres outside their immediate area. Candidates should print early, check the centre and make all needed arrangements before the examination day. Do this as soon as your slip is printed - not on the morning of June 13.

Action 3 - Prepare Your Examination Materials Today

Between now and June 12, gather and set aside everything you will bring to the examination on June 13:

• Your printed Examination Notification Slip - at least two copies
• Valid means of identification - NIN card or slip, International Passport, or Driver Licence
• HB pencil for objective papers
• Black or blue ballpoint pen

What you must NOT bring:

• Your mobile phone - phones are strictly banned from JAMB examination halls. Bring it to the centre and leave it with a trusted person outside if necessary - but do not carry it into the hall.
• Smartwatch or any electronic communication device
• Textbooks, notes, or any printed material other than your notification slip and ID

Action 4 - Use the Next 8 Days to Prepare Seriously

Eight days is enough time to make a meaningful difference to your result. Here is how to use them:

Days 1 to 5 (June 5 to June 9): Intensive subject revision. Work through past JAMB questions for all four of your subjects. Focus on the topics that appear most consistently across multiple years. For English Language, practise summary writing and comprehension. For Mathematics, focus on quadratic equations, statistics, and trigonometry. For sciences, prioritise the topics your subject teacher identified as high-frequency JAMB areas.

Days 6 to 7 (June 10 to June 11): Timed full practice. Sit at least one complete timed practice examination in CBT format, covering all four subjects within the standard UTME time. This builds the time management instinct that the actual examination demands. Use a CBT practice platform that replicates the actual JAMB interface - not just paper-based revision.

Day 8 - June 12 (the night before): Light revision only. Review your weakest topics briefly. Do not try to cover new material. Pack your examination materials. Eat a proper meal. Sleep by 10pm. A rested brain performs significantly better in a timed digital examination than a sleep-deprived one.

Action 5 - Plan Your Journey for June 13

Plan to arrive at your centre at least 30 minutes before your session starts. JAMB examination centres do not admit candidates who arrive after the session has begun. Know the gate opening time at your specific centre if you can - some centres open entry 45 to 60 minutes before the examination begins.

If your centre is more than one hour from your location, consider travelling to the area the evening before and staying nearby overnight. The risk of a transport delay on the morning of the examination is not worth taking when so much is at stake.

What Happens After June 13 - For All Candidates

The June 13 mop-up examination is the last piece of the 2026 UTME cycle. Once it is completed and results are processed, three important developments will follow for all 2.24 million 2026 UTME candidates:

• National rankings will be finalised. Your original result slip contains your national ranking among all candidates. This ranking cannot be generated until every candidate - including mop-up candidates - has been scored. Once mop-up results are processed, national rankings will be completed.
• Original result slip printing will be activated. JAMB has confirmed that the result slip printing portal has been delayed specifically because of the pending mop-up. Once mop-up results are processed, all 2.24 million candidates will be able to print their official result slips.
• Full admission processing accelerates. Post-UTME screenings, CAPS admission offers, and the broader 2026/2027 admission exercise will move at full speed once the mop-up is concluded. The entire admission calendar has been waiting on this date.

If You Have Not Received Any Communication From JAMB

Some affected candidates are concerned that they have not received direct SMS or email notification from JAMB confirming their mop-up listing. JAMB has stated that all affected candidates have been listed in the system based on their centre records. To confirm your status:

• Visit efacility.jamb.gov.ng from tomorrow (June 6) and attempt to print your notification slip. If a slip generates for you, you are confirmed on the mop-up list.
• If no slip generates and you believe you were affected by a verified technical disruption or result withdrawal, visit the nearest JAMB state office with your original registration slip and valid identification for clarification.
• Monitor @JAMBHQ on X (formerly Twitter) for any further official communications about the mop-up exercise.

A Final Word

The anxiety of waiting since April has been real and legitimate. Months of uncertainty are frustrating - especially when your academic future depends on the outcome of a single examination. But June 13 is here. The date is confirmed. The slip printing opens tomorrow. And you now have eight days to walk into that examination hall as prepared as possible.

Print your slip tomorrow. Confirm your centre. Prepare seriously. Sleep well on June 12. And go and do what you were always capable of doing.
