Category 3 - Candidates Who Could Not Sit Due to Procedural Issues

Candidates who were unable to sit the examination due to verified procedural issues - including centre closures, admission letter problems that were not the candidate's fault, and other officially documented circumstances - are also eligible for rescheduling through the mop-up process.

Who Does NOT Qualify

• Candidates who sat the full examination and received a score - even a low one - do not qualify for the mop-up regardless of how they feel about their performance
• Candidates who were absent without a documented technical or procedural reason
• Candidates who were caught engaging in examination malpractice - their results are cancelled and they face further sanctions, not a resit opportunity
• Candidates who simply want to improve their score

When Is the JAMB 2026 Mop-Up Exam?

• Subsequent reports pointed to the second week of May - this also passed without a confirmed date.

• JAMB confirmed at the May 11 policy meeting that the change of course and institution portal will only be activated after the mop-up examination concludes - meaning the entire admission process for all candidates is waiting on the mop-up to finish.

The honest reality is that no confirmed mop-up date has been officially announced by JAMB as of this publication. The board has committed to communicating the date directly to affected candidates through their registered phone numbers and email addresses and through official JAMB channels. The Direct Connection to the Result Slip Printing Delay

2. Keep Your Registered SIM Active and Your Email Accessible

JAMB will communicate your mop-up date, time, and centre directly to your registered phone number and email address. Your registered SIM must remain active and in your possession. If you have lost access to your registered number, visit the nearest JAMB state office with your registration details and valid identification to update your contact information before the announcement is made.

3. Monitor the Official JAMB Portal Regularly
